Some escaped Chibok girls now in US
It has been gathered that some of Chibok girls that escaped from Boko harams den, were relocated to US as parts of re-integration measure to enable them continue their studies.
A non-governmental organisation, Educate After Escape and some private donors will be responsible for the girls’ education.
BBC reports that the escaped schoolgirls will resume in Virginia, USA.
One of the girls in an interview with BBC said, “Last Christmas in Nigeria, we were afraid to stay in church for too long because we were afraid Boko Haram might come and attack us and we didn’t go around visiting people like we usually do. This Christmas, I am really happy.”
Meanwhile, the remaining 219 Chibok girls may stay in Boko Haram captive till 2015 as negotiation between federal government and Boko Haram had failed to yield any fruitful result.
Our correspondent gathered that the terrorist group has stopped further negotiation with Federal Government, as the sect was said to have doubted the sincerity of Nigeria government.
